Turn it into a PDF
It takes an e-mail, a Word document, an Excel sheet or a picture and makes a PDF out of it — the format that opens the same way on any computer and that nobody can change by accident. With e-mails it keeps the look of the original message: colours, bold text, tables, company logo.
Rename with the date
It puts the date in front of the name, written year.month.day. That way Windows, which sorts files alphabetically, puts them in date order by itself. Instead of the date you can put a prefix of your own.
Three ways to hand it a file
Right-click the file
The way you will use 90% of the time: the entry sits in the Windows menu.
Drag it onto the icon
Pick the file up with the mouse and drop it on the Desktop icon.
The Drop Zone window
For dragging an e-mail straight out of Outlook, without saving it first.
No file leaves your computer and no internet is needed. Remote images inside e-mails are not even downloaded.
